Adding Protein and Calories as You Gain Weight

Hi to all , just to say hello ,

Im new in the James method and already start the training according with his instructions,
I have one year training in a commercial gym and only gain 8 kg since february 2004,
I started a new diet this last december with some diferences with the James diet but I improved with advices of the book . the only suplement is whey protein.

my actual measures are

149 lb, at 15 %
chest , 38 in
biceps 12.5 in
waist 32 in
thigh 20 in
calves 13.

The goal for this year is to gain 160 lbs ! so we have work to do

Any comments will be appreciated

Saul

my comments are really I cannot make any comments until I know results according to how your body responds. This is how we all have to make forward progress test test test.
IN this case you do not have to really test too much but only enough to "adjust" your genetics. SO go for it follow the program consistently and strict see what happens then make the recommended weight gain adjustments accordingly

James.

Today my weight is 151 lbs, and still is 32 of waist ,
Yesterday started the phase 3 of the program !

I got this question , according with the new weight , do we need to add more proteins and calories ?

thanks!
Saul

Congradulations on your weight gain. The answer is yes, although if you are following the program there is leeway to accomodate weight gain. So I would adjust calories and protein etc every ten pounds of gained weight. Basically you will gain muscle and then as you approach more muscle gain you will burn a little extra fat to harden up the body .

Missing a day of training

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
What to do when you missed a day of trainning , ex , I missed the day 3 of the week 2.
DO I need to start again the next monday with the same week 2 , or just the day that I missed
Saul

Just continue with the day you missed.
James
